Set Up Checkout Pages and Direct Booking Links

What Checkout Pages Are

Checkout pages are direct booking pages for individual properties or services. They are useful when you do not need a full website link in every campaign, but you still want guests to book and pay directly.

Use checkout links for:

  • Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and email campaigns.
  • WhatsApp replies to guests asking for availability.
  • QR codes in printed material.
  • A booking button on an existing external website.
  • A direct link to a service, tour, transfer, or add-on.

If you have a published SympleHost website, checkout links use that public website address where possible. If not, SympleHost can still provide a direct checkout route.

Check these first:

RequirementWhy It Matters
Listing or service is activeGuests cannot book inactive, archived, or draft items.
Direct booking is enabledThe checkout page needs permission to accept direct bookings.
Pricing is correctGuests see pricing from your listing or service setup.
Availability is correctCalendar, service schedule, capacity, and restrictions affect what guests can select.
Payment gateway is connectedOnline payment needs Stripe or your available payment gateway.
Cancellation and deposit rules are reviewedGuests should see clear payment and cancellation expectations.

Open Checkout Pages

  1. Go to Websites.
  2. Open the Checkout Pages tab.
  3. Filter by All, Properties, or Services.
  4. Find the property or service you want to share.

Each row shows the item name, type, status, checkout URL, and whether direct booking is enabled.

Enable or Disable Direct Booking

Use the direct booking toggle beside each property or service.

Turn direct booking on only when the item is ready for guests. If you are still fixing photos, pricing, availability, payment settings, or policies, keep it disabled until the booking flow is ready.

For properties, review the listing, calendar, pricing, fees, taxes, deposits, and payment gateway.

For services, review the service status, rates, booking model, capacity, availability, workforce or resources, and payment setup.

Use Copy Link to copy the checkout URL, then paste it into your campaign, email, WhatsApp message, or external website.

Use Open to test the checkout page before sharing it.

When testing, confirm:

  1. The correct listing or service opens.
  2. Dates, guests, or service options can be selected.
  3. Pricing looks right.
  4. Payment options look right.
  5. Confirmation and guest details are clear.

Short links are useful for campaigns where a long checkout URL is hard to read or track.

  1. Find the listing or service in Checkout Pages.
  2. Enter a short alias if you want one.
  3. Click Generate Short Link.
  4. Copy the short link and use it in your campaign.

Examples:

  • villa-august-offer
  • airport-transfer
  • bali-retreat
  • weekend-stay

Keep aliases short and easy to recognise.
